Info About Joining TORCH
All team members must whole heartedly present:
HONOR: Honor and be proud of both your team and membership.
COURAGE: Show courage during even the during the darkest moment of any investigation.
COMMITMENT: Be committed to the team and never fail your fellow team members.
DEDICATION: Dedicate your time and effort to your teammates when they call upon you.
HONESTY: Present complete and absolute honesty at all times.
RESPECT: Respect yourself, your teammates, your team leaders, and the team's clients.
We are always looking for our next team member. We are completely open to accepting people with absolutely no investigating experience at all. Having no experience vs. having lots of experience will not be a factor in deciding who we will accept. You will be trained to how the Team Leaders wish for the team to investigate either way... But there is some important information you must know before applying for membership:
- You must abide by the TORCH team member code of honor in whole heartedly presenting HONOR, COURAGE, COMMITMENT, DEDICATION, HONESTY, and RESPECT towards the founders, other team members, and especially our clients.
- If you do not have the time to give to the team, please do not apply. Missing meetings, investigations, not paying the member dues, and not doing any outside work will result in dismissal from the team for the next investigation. If lack of participation continues it can result in complete dismissal from the team.
- You must attend every meeting. Meetings are held on the LAST SUNDAY of every month, with the exception of November and December in which the meetings are rescheduled to the middle of the month to avoid conflict with Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- TORCH has a member dues policy for certian things such as uniforms and personal equipment. Any time the team leaders wish to purchase such things they will discuss the financial needs during the next meeting.
- Respecting the chain of command is a must. Any orders given by Team Leaders must be carried out. Team Leaders will not give you an order that puts your health at risk. And if you do not feel comfortable with performing a task, be HONEST with the Team Leaders and tell them. But no backtalk, arguing, or fighting with Team Leaders or other fellow team members will be tolerated at all. It is vital that we have good team chemistry, and any disagreements should be settled away from the clients.
- Attending investigations is extremely important. If we do not have at least 3 investigators present for an investigation, the investigation will be postponed. Outstanding communication with the team leaders is a must when you are seriously unable to attend a meeting or investigation.
- You will be given a TORCH email address in which you must check, at least, once a week. You are also expected to send a weekly update to the main TORCH email address to let the team know that you are doing well, that you are still committed to the team, and any work that you have done on your own time.
