THE STEPS WE TAKE
This is the process we go through prior, during, and after an investigation... Note, some steps may be skipped if the investigation is an emergency and the customer needs us at their property ASAP
- First we must find a location to investigate. We would either need to contact or be contacted by the proper authority of a location to be given permission to be able to perform an investigation on the property. We will not illegally trespass. During this step, we will set up a time on a specific date to which the investigation will be carried out on.
- Directly after we receive permission from the proper authority of the location, we will start our research work and perform a look up on the area's history. Every corner of the Earth has history of somebody passing away. This step would just provide clues (if not provided by the customer) to us what may have happened to this spirit(s), how they lived, dressed, acted, etc.
- Next comes the confirmation of everything. We will follow up with another phone call to the proper authority to make sure everything is still good to go. This call will come at an appropriate time for a reminder to our customer. If it's Tuesday and we schedule an investigation date to take place on Sunday, we will probably make this phone call on either Thursday or Friday. The call will always come mid-way to three quarters of the way to the investigation date from initial contact.
- This step is where we put a team together and plan everything out so nothing goes wrong. We prefer to have a team of at least three investigators (we will most likely have more). We will make sure all batteries for our equipment are fully charged. We will make sure all of our equipment works properly. We double, triple, and even quadruple check to make sure we have everything we will need for the investigation. And then we will make sure everything is packed away, ready to go.
- The day before the investigation, our secretary will make sure all investigators are still a "go" for the investigation and put together all the paperwork that our client will have to to sign. This paperwork basically gives us permission to investigate the property and also permission to post the client's evidence and some basic information on our website.
- Now it's investigation day, and we make the trip to the location. Somebody will need to be there to greet us, we will not just assume we still have the permission to enter the property. We will ask for a tour the property and we will also ask for specific incidences in specific locations so that we know where to set up our cameras and which areas we need to concentrate our investigation on. We will need to know any information that the customer believes he/she knows about the spirit.
- Next we will unpack, establish a home base station, and set up our equipment.
- Now comes the investigation. There is no real specific protocol that we follow. But we will typically start off slow, allow the spirit(s) to get use to us on the property, and introduce ourselves and our equipment and explain that we, and our equipment, are not able to harm spirits. And then, depending on how things are going, we may then try a more aggressive, provocative, more engaged approach to trying to get the spirit to prove its existence. We will not provoke or challenge spirits in your property if you do not wish us to. Hours upon hours of audio and video will be recorded during the investigation, making sure we catch anything and everything that happens during the investigation.
- Next we will pack up up our equipment, double, triple and quadruple check to make sure we don't forget anything, and call it a day. Depending on how tired the team may be, we will start the reviewing of all of our recordings either directly after the investigation or the very next day. The reviewing may take days since there is so much of it.
- Once we are done reviewing our recordings, we will then call our customer to set up another date to meet again so that we can reveal anything we might have caught or experienced during the investigation.
- The reveal meeting will most likely be brief. Even though we take hours of recordings, we're lucky to get even a couple minutes worth of actual evidence of paranormal activity. We will go over what each team member experienced during the investigation and also what our equipment caught as evidence. We will explain whether we feel the location is haunted, not haunted, or didn't get enough evidence or enough experiences to decide either way. We will explain to the customer that he/she is always welcome to contact us. Our customer's sense of security is most important to us. And letting them know that we're only a phone call away may help to comfort them.
- If we did catch any evidence, we will not have recordings ready to give to the customer just yet. But within 48 hours of the reveal, we will email any findings to the customer.
