Introduction:
Summary: Cuba Road/ White Cemetery is rumored to be the most haunted area in the immediate location of TORCH's HQ. Everything from phantom cars, to ghostly apparitions, to orbs have been reported. So because of the close location and the reports, we decided that this would make a good case for us to start off with.
This was TORCH's very first "investigation" together. But it was hardly an investigation as it was raining, forcing us to stay either inside of or close to our vehicle. We took many pictures. Most of which caught nothing but rain. No video was taken as we didn't have a camcorder at the time. And the weather conditions forced us to stay in the car, so trying to catch any EVP was pointless. We did get some vital experience though. As you will see in some of our pictures, raindrops can very easily be mistaken for orbs. So we basically discounted any picture we took when it was raining out because rain can cause so much controversy in seeking real paranormal photographic evidence. However, we did get some pictures when it the skies cleared. And, at least, one picture we took while we were outside of White Cemetery, looking in, we found very interesting. We will get more into this picture a little later.
Cuba Rd. is an extremely creepy road to drive on, especially at night. It is extremely dark, full of sharp turns, surrounded by thick trees, very hilly, and to tell the truth, when driving on it you do feel like there is something more to the area than just a road surrounded by trees with a small cemetery off to the side. But we didn't have any luck, whatsoever, with seeing or recording any ghostly apparitions or phantom cars. In fact, we have developed a theory to why people are seeing these things. Remember the description of Cuba Rd. as it is vital in thinking about alternative explanations of ghosts and disappearing cars. This road produces many optical illusions. It has many large hills, but it also has many small, 3 to 5 ft hills that makes the road look like it disappears when it is hit at the right angle by your headlights. This area is populated. So, when the timing is right, it may appear that a car or a person is disappearing when you are going over or up one of the many hills. We actually did experience this a couple times during the trip. However, this is just a theory, not a conclusion.
Conclusion: 1 piece of possible evidence found, 1 alternative theory developed- though not tested... Is this location haunted? We do not have enough evidence, either way, to prove or disprove this area to be haunted. This case is still wide open. And there will be a second trip for this investigation sometime in the future for TORCH.
Evidence: In many of our pictures during this investigation, you will notices white orb-looking things. Some of them appear to be racing across and up the screen. However, these ARE NOT ORBS. If you read the weather conditions for this investigation that we posted up top, it was a RAINY day. These white spots, in which some appear to be moving in different directions, are all rain drops. We decided that we weren't even going to look for orbs in any of our pictures because of the weather conditions.
